Kai Si Hor Fun had flavourful broth and met my expectations. A good portion size as it comes with quite a lot of chicken pieces and three prawns. The grilled pork shoulder was juicy and tender. Apple sauce was good and not sweet. Friendly owners were explaining their dishes to us. Would definitely go back to try other food.

It's your neighborhood family cafe restaurant. All the comfort foods are here. Be warned, all tai chow appears pre cooked. I think the western dishes are all made fresh. We tried the sambal petai sotong (squid), the ginger fish, the garlic pakchoy and mince meat local tofu. The fried rice and Hakka noodles with premium char siew rounded off the order. The various diahes were somewhat salty to me. All are pre cooked and just reheated up. Not freshly cooked. I think all were pre cooked and was a little too sal56 We had beers and tea too. The food was reasonable. The portions of the tai chow was honestly a little small for the price. Their western looks better and more generous. The Hakka noodles was good, fragrant and full of pork lard and oil. The lard was fresh and crispy too. The char siew Siew were a little too dry and not fatty enough. Their nasi lemak was not bad. The rice was fragrant, the peanuts and anchovies were fried to a crispy consistency. The vegetables were all fresh. However, the sambal was not spicy and not flavourful enough. Needs more onions, belacan and chilies. The dessert cakes were worth trying. Their cempedak gula Melaka and the cempedak cheese cake were particularly good, full of cempedak fruit. However, their Bailey's Tiramisu was underwhelming and not enough of coffee, amaretto or Bailey's. The cakes sizes were too small too.

Please take this advice into consideration. Please do not let the newspaper lady to come in or even stand outside to pester customer to buy. (She was knocking on the glass) I come into your lovely cafe to enjoy my time as it's a love and cozy calm environment and not to be annoyed by this lady. She has been very rude to me prior just because I did not buy from her. Do not want to have to worry of more insults from this indian lady. Other than that your service and food really superb! Thank you.

My first review of the place on my third visit. Had grilled chicken chop with salad and fries as sides . The chicken chop was tender and the fries were good too. The only grouse was that the accompanying mushroom sauce was slightly on the salty side. My girl had braised lamb that came with fries and salad as sides too. In my opinion, the lamb was tender and flavourful. Not bad

Had a lovely experience here! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. It was raining when we arrived and my girlfriend was drenched — they immediately offered her a towel to dry off, which was such a thoughtful gesture. While waiting for our food, we were also served complimentary popcorn, which was a nice touch. Small acts of kindness like these really make a place stand out. Highly recommended for the warm hospitality and great vibes!

Food (3.5 stars) based on my own taste bias: - Siew Yuk a bit too little fat and salt, may work for those who prefer a leaner cut - Char Siew above average, nice caramelized fats, slightly sweet - Hor Fun was good. Soup done well and overall the best of the dishes we tried today - Curry Pork Ribs (forgot take pic, comes with taufupok and potatoes), the curry fragrant a bit too watery, meat fell off the bone so quite yums - Nasi Lemak's coconut rice was fragrant, condiments better than average, sambal not quite tasty enough - Big Breakfast was standard stuff - Egg Tarts nice and yummy if you like the non-flakey pastry type Price overall not bad. Not cheap but not expensive either. Service (4 stars) was good, no complaints, ordered and paid via the QR scanner (manual order also available). Note only cashless payments accepted. Atmosphere (5 stars) was a winner. Nice and cosy, home-like feel. Overall decent, I'm a bit particular about my pork so maybe scored a bit lower than others. Worth a try, your mileage may vary.
